The Anaesthesia Festival
The Edinburgh Anaesthesia Festival is organised by the University Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to coincide with the 2012 Edinburgh International Festival of the Arts. The three-day programme will consist of lectures and discussions on the current topics in anaesthesia. The lecturers are from all parts of the United Kingdom and represent leading opinions in their field. |

The Anaesthesia festival takes place during the second week of the Edinburgh International Festival of the Arts, which includes a varied programme of music, drama and the visual arts. Advance notice of the programme for the Festival and Fringe events will be forwarded to all delegates. |

Accommodation
En-suite rooms are available for delegates and their spouses and families in the University Residence at Masson House, Pollock Halls.

Climate
At that time of the year the weather in Edinburgh is usually dry. Average daily temperature is 17 C falling to 10 C at night. |

Accompanying Persons
As many tours and other activities are available during the Festival, no Accompanying Persons Programme will be arranged. |
|
Social Events
The Anaesthesia Festival Dinner (informal) for delegates and partners will be held in the Fellow’s Library at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh on the evening of Thursday 23rd August, per person £50.00. The dinner is subsidised and includes all wines. Other times are left free to allow delegates to attend the Edinburgh Festival. |

Registration Fee
The registration fee for the Anaesthesia Festival is £475 (£400 if paid prior to 15th June 2012) Trainee Rate £225.
